Wayne Powell
Partner
Wayne Powell graduated from the University of British Columbia and was called to the Bar in 1969. He articled and practiced with the firm, becoming a partner in 1973.
Initially a successful litigator specializing in family law, the focus of his practice has now grown to include real estate, wills and estates, and corporate & commercial matters.
In addition, Wayne provides legal services and consultation to G&F Financial Group, BC's leading credit union with 53,000 members, 24 branches and over $4B in assets under administration.
Wayne is the author of the best-selling "BC Divorce Guide" for Self-Counsel Press which went to a 20th Edition.
D. Stuart Gray
Partner
Stuart is the senior counsel for the firm, providing litigation and trial services in the areas of insurance defence, construction disputes, and commercial disputes in association with the solicitors’ team.
Stuart holds an LLB from UVic and was called to the BC bar in 1990. After practicing in Victoria as a trial lawyer, he joined the firm in 1994, becoming a partner in 1997.
He is a member of the Canadian & BC Bar Associations, as well as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is a non-practicing member of the Washington State Bar Association.
Stuart is seldom found without his French Bulldog Rafa, who you might find roaming the halls of the office, supervising the firm.
